IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre is a leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics (HPDA), Quantum Computing (QC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and their applications. We have strong international links and employ more than 150 scientific, technical and administrative staff. IT4Innovations is running three supercomputers: Karolina (15.7 PFlop/s), Barbora (849 TFlop/s), and the specialised NVIDIA DGX-2 system for AI computation. Moreover, IT4Innovations will host one of the new European quantum computers named LUMI-Q and is a member of the LUMI consortium, which currently operates the most powerful supercomputer in Europe. Senior researcher - infrastructure research laboratory

Activity description: 

  • development and parallel implementation of sparse linear algebra algorithms and solvers,
  • publication activities of research outcomes.

Full-time equivalent: 0,5 - 1,0
Type of job contract: fixed-term employment
Expected start of employment: 1. 1. 2024 as agreed
 

We require:

  • PhD in Applied mathematics, computer science or related disciplines,
  • 5 years of professional experience in a related field,
  • strong publication track record in highly impacted journals,
  • experience in supervising M.Sc. and Phd students,
  • active knowledge of the English language.
