We seek a

Backend Developer

for Advanced Data Analysis and Simulations Lab       

                        

Activity description:      

We are extending our team with a new position to drive development of complex distributed services focused on easy access to AI models lifecycle management, compute workflows and distributed data management across supercomputers, Quantum and Cloud environments. This position is focused on backend developers eager to work with various data transfer protocols in Python using FastAPI, asyncio, HTTP/2, object storages and relational databases. Experience with design and operation of scalable and distributed services is an advantage.       

         

The responsibilites of the candidates for this role are:

  • development of software features in backend services for distributed data management,     
  • development of integrations with various data repository systems,
  • communication with the development team and participation on feature design,
  • collaboration with DevOps team on feature delivery.

                              

Full time equivalent: 0,5 - 1,0

Type of job contract: fixed-term employment

Expected start of employment: 1. 5. 2026 or as agreed

                              

We require:                    

  • proven experience with backend development in Python (FastAPI or similar),
  • experience with REST API development,
  • practical knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM frameworks,   
  • version control (Git) and software artifacts handling in containerised environment (Docker),          
  • good communication skills in the English language both spoken and written,
  • bachelor's degree in related field.      

  

Candidate advantage:

  • experience with No-SQL databases,

  • experience with OpenID based web authentication,

  • general knowledge of computer networks (IP).
