The second edition of the Superheroes 4 Science project concluded with a final project meeting held at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center in March. Coordinated by IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center, the project brought together partners from the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia to reflect on achievements and discuss future use of the educational materials developed throughout the initiative.

Launched in November 2023, the project aimed to inspire young people to explore science and technology through creative educational tools. Over the past months, the international team successfully developed a set of engaging resources, including:

  • A new comic series featuring science-themed superheroes
  • An educational computer game designed to make complex scientific topics accessible and fun
  • Two interactive workshops, introducing young learners to artificial intelligence and quantum computing

The materials were made available in five languages—Czech, Polish, Slovak, Hungarian, and English—to ensure accessibility across the Visegrad countries. This was possible through funding from the International Visegrad Fund, which supported the project’s multilingual and cross-border approach.

The final meeting in Poznań allowed project partners to reflect on their collaborative work, evaluate the impact of the materials, and explore how they could continue to support science outreach in the future.

“We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished together,” said Karina Pešatová, the coordinator from IT4Innovations. “This project has been a rewarding journey, and the educational resources we created have the potential to spark a lifelong interest in science among students.”

The second edition of Superheroes 4 Science built on the success of its first run, once again demonstrating how international cooperation and creative communication can help bridge the gap between science and the younger generation.
