IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center is a leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics (HPDA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Computing (QC) and their applications. We have strong international links and employ more than 150 scientific, technical, and administrative staff. At present, IT4Innovations is running two supercomputers: Karolina (15.7 PFlop/s, installed in the summer of 2021) and Barbora (849 TFlop/s, installed in the autumn of 2019), and is a member of the consortium operating LUMI, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers. IT4Innovations also operates the first Czech quantum computer named VLQ.

We seek a

Senior Innovation Technology Developer

for Advanced Data Analysis and Simulations Lab             

We are extending our team with a new position to drive the development of complex distributed services focused on easy access to compute workflows and distributed data management across HPC clusters, Quantum, and Cloud environments.    

                        

The responsibilities of the candidates for this role are:                    

  • delivery of software platform features according to the release process,
  • software development task management related to the objectives of the assigned projects,            
  • coordination of the development team and planning an efficient development effort,
  • contribution to the design of software features related to distributed data management and orchestration of computing workflows.           

                              

Full-time equivalent: full-time employment

Type of job contract: fixed-term employment

Expected start of employment: 1 September 2025 or as agreed

                              

We require:                    

  • master's degree in software engineering or computer science,

  • 3 years of experience with the development and delivery of online software platforms,

  • experience with software development management,   

  • proven experience with service development in Python or C#, 

  • knowledge of networks, computer storage technologies, and data transfer protocols,            

  • will to work in an international environment which requires good communication skills in the English language, both spoken and written,            

  • good communication skills and independent problem-solving,

ability to learn new technologies and to work in a dynamic environment.         

                              

Candidate advantage:
