At the end of March 2019, the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center became a member of the Big Data Value Association, joining other major industrial companies and prestigious scientific organizations.

The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) has 200 members from all over Europe; private, public and academic. IT4Innovations has thus become one of the names such as IBM, Nokia, Siemens, Philips, SAP, Orange, Atos and others. The BDVA aims to support research and innovation on Big Data ideas. The mission of the BDVA is to develop the Innovation Ecosystem that will enable the data and AI-driven digital transformation in Europe, deliver maximum economic and societal benefit, and secure a strong and lasting leadership in Europe for Big Data Value creation and Artificial Intelligence.

More about BDVA membership is provided by Katerina Slaninova, a senior researcher at IT4Innovations: “As a full member we can participate in all activities of the organization, we have full voting rights and we can also be elected to the Bureau. Significant advantages include the possibility of direct access to meetings with the European Commission and representatives of member countries, thus giving the opportunity to influence the strategic objectives in this area, which I consider to be crucial.”
