Computational resources to be distributed:
4 750 000 core hours

Technical parameters of the small cluster:
200 computing nodes; each node is fitted with two eight-core processors with an x86-64 SandyBridge architecture, 64GB of RAM and 300GB of local disk capacity.

Receipt of applications
9 August 2013 to 4 October 2013

Eligible applicants:
Employees of academic and research institutions other than IT4Innovations who have their registered offices or a branch in the Czech Republic (it means also employees of VSB – TUO, OU, SLU, UGN AV and VUT, who do not participate at the project IT4Innovations). Furthermore, persons and entities that have acquired and/or participate in implementing a research grant from the Czech Republic’s public resources.
Citizenship does not affect applicants’ eligibility.

How to submit an application:

Applications will only be accepted in English. The application form is available on pages. Completed applications are to be submitted in electronic form to the following e-mail address: open.open.access[at]it4i.cz. Subject of the e-mail has to be „2nd Open Access Call“.

22 November 2013

The period to use computational resources obtained:
Expected to start on 30 November 2013 (the expected deadline for use is 31 July 2014) . Applicants need to be aware that the time period for using any computational resources obtained may be changed (delayed).

Evaluation of applications:
Applicants will be notified of the competition results within 35 working days of the conclusion of the competition. Notifications will be sent in electronic format to the e-mail address specified in the application.
