During his first business trip in office, the new Minister of Industry and Trade Tomáš Hüner made time to visit IT4Innovations. The Moravian-Silesian Region has a rich heavy industrial heritage, but is also home to a burgeoning IT technologies. The location of the most powerful supercomputer in the Czech Republic in Ostrava proves this. Ivo Vondrák, the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, accompanied the Minister during the visit. Ivo Vondrák significantly contributed to the establishment of IT4Innovations during his time as Rector of VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava. The minister and the governor had the chance to see not only supercomputers, but also presentations of industry collaboration projects of IT4Innovations.
