The aim of the selection procedure through Directors Discretion is to be able to assess also applications that cannot be for any reason assessed in the Open Access Competition. Even in this case a written application for computational resources has to be submitted (see below).

It can be done by anyone from commercial and non-commercial sphere as well during the whole year.

Computational resources to be distributed600 000 core hours
Technical parameters of the cluster1,008 compute nodes and 129 terabytes (TB) of RAM. It will feature 864 Intel(r) Xeon Phi(tm) 7120 coprocessors cards with 52,704 cores and 13.8 TB of RAM. For more information see websites.

Language of applicationApplications will only be accepted in English, in case of the commercial entities, Czech language is accepted
The period to use computational resources obtainedThis is a 182-day period, upon individual agreement in case of cooperation with commercial entity
Evaluation of applicationsApplications may be reviewed by external reviewers. Applicants will be notified of the competition results within 20 working days of the submission of the application. Notifications will be sent in electronic format to the e-mail address specified in the application. In case of application from commercial sector, application will be proceeded according to applicant needs.
