Hardware of the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre

The IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre is purchasing its supercomputer technology in two stages. In spring 2013, we put a “small cluster” into operation. Currently, we are selecting a supplier for the final part of the supercomputer, the large cluster, to be available to users towards the end of 2014.

Technical parameters of Anselm

207 compute nodes; each node is equipped with two eight-core x86-64 SandyBridge processors, 64GB RAM and a 300GB local disk. For more information, click HERE.

Anticipated technical parameters of the large cluster

(full operation in 2015)

At the moment, a tender procedure is under way to select a supplier for the large cluster. Technical parameters will be known after the bids are evaluated. The anticipated parameters are as follows:

  • Power of 1 PetaFlop (LinPack)
  • Disk storage capacity of 4 PB
  • Hot water cooling
