At present, nothing is developing faster than ICT. This important modern revolution entails a massive expansion of mobile Internet connection and an increasing number of devices that are connected online to the largest global network. Such devices are increasingly being installed directly into cars, but they also include ordinary mobile phones. The RODOS centre responds to that trend and – by exploiting its potential – it aims to improve the mobility of people both domestically and in neighbouring regions abroad. Indeed, by its nature, the flow of traffic needs to be continuous and the Czech Republic, given its location in the heart of Europe, is predestined for the role of a transit country.

By connecting almost every vehicle to the information highway, car transport will become more like air or rail transport in the near future. The use of high connectivity and the possibility of transmitting current data both ways will thus make it possible to control traffic as a whole more effectively and efficiently List of project partners is available here.
