During his first business trip in office, the new Minister of Industry and Trade Tomáš Hüner made time to visit IT4Innovations. The Moravian-Silesian Region has a rich heavy industrial heritage, but is also home to a burgeoning IT technologies. The location of the most powerful supercomputer in the Czech Republic in Ostrava proves this. Ivo Vondrák, the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, accompanied the Minister during the visit. Ivo Vondrák significantly contributed to the establishment of IT4Innovations during his time as Rector of VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava. The minister and the governor had the chance to see not only supercomputers, but also presentations of industry collaboration projects of IT4Innovations. Photos of the visit are available in our gallery.
